Who Should Attend:
Technique
Camp is for students entering grades 4th through 12th next
fall.
About The Camp:
This technique camp will concentrate on
instruction and drilling for beginning to advanced wrestler. It will cover
techniques and drills from the feet, top, and bottom positions. It will also
incorporate outdoor activities, including swimming, volleyball, climbing tower,
and hiking.
Location and Housing:
Wrestling
camp will be conducted at Camp Thompson, Gardners, PA. Nestled in the mountains
of Michaux State Forest between Laurel and Fuller Lakes, Camp Thompson sits next to the historic Appalachian Trail. This unique environment, rich with
trails, waterways and natural rock faces, provides access to a wide array of
outdoor activities.
Our facilities include 10 cabins, a new bath house, dining hall, pavilion, and sand
volleyball Campers will be housed in cabins, supervised by camp counselors. Campers should bring bed linens, pillows, soap, towels, facecloths, swimsuits, portable fans, workout
clothes and other personal belongings. Because the safety of camp participants is important, campers must be in their cabins and lights out by 11:00pm.
Directions From Harrisburg:
Take I-81 South to Exit 37 Newville. Then follow From I-81 Directions.
From Chambersburg: Take I-81 North to Exit 37 Newville. Then follow From I-81 Directions.
From I-81:
Take 233 South towards Pine Grove Furnace. After going over the mountain,
turn left at the stop sign (directly in front of the park offices) onto Pine Grove Road and go approximately 2.5 miles and turn right into Camp Thompson.

Fees and refunds
The resident camper fee for camp is $325 and includes instruction, housing, a camp
shirt, and all meals from dinner the first day to breakfast on the last day.
The commuter fee for camp is $275 and covers all the above but housing. Call or
e-mail for Team Discounts.
All cancellations must be received in writing by mail or e-mail.
Full refunds will be made for cancellations postmarked by 07/08/08. After this deadline, a
$100 fee will be deducted for administration costs.
